Hello everyone! I just got my first Vette a few weeks ago and im thinking about putting in either 5 pt or 6 pt race harness driver/ passenger side. Any input as to a brand or place to buy them would be appreciated? Also I would like to get that bar that mounts across the back of the seats for the harness. I dont want to do a half A%& job. Thanks
Got the Brey Krause harness bar with a 6-pt G-force cam lock harness. The crotch strap is an inverted V and anchored to the front seat mounts. The B-K bar is 4-pt mounted to the stock shoulder strap mount and to the rear seat mounts. I retained the use of the stock belts since the 6-pt harness is NOT LEGAL for street use. Check out West Coast Corvettes and/or Summit Racing. I believe the lap belt mounts WCC sells is specific to them as I haven't seen others but I haven't looked in about 5 years. You might want to post your question to the autocrossing/road racing section and get more answers and maybe do a search.
Throw this out among the autocross and road racing guys. What are you planning on doing for seats? I would not recommend any harness if your keeping the stock seats.
BTW I use a Hardbar harness bar (aluminum and very lightweight) and Team Tech 6 point harness. Cobra Suzuka Pro seat.

If this is for track days/HPDE you should do some research, some groups have very specific requirements - including matching equipment for passenger.
I have the B-K harness bar with their hardware for lap belts, so I you keep the OEM belts for street use. As noted above, 5 or 6 point should not be used w/OEM seats (should have pass-throughs for shoulder harness and sub belt if using 5pt.
Try a search on the roadrace/AX section - lots of info - and opinions
Thank you for all the info! Mostly doing it for the looks and possibly a track day here and there. I will be putting after market seats in, when i convert to the harness.
Thanks again!!
In some states it's illegal to replace the stock belts with a 5 or 6 point system if you drive it on the street. Dumb, but that's the government for you.
