Default SS brake lines??

Looking to upgrade to SS brake lines. Looking for opinions on best quality/ installation lines. I figure they are all around 100 dollars?

Obviously you can't go wrong running Goodridge Lines, just because they have the reputation in regards to the racing for most Motor Sports as far as the lines. Goodridge is what I have and drive with the car just about every day. The fittings are fantastic and the quality of lines can't be beat. You probably want to go with something like this, just because some of the other lines might not be able to stand behind the products for actual racing.

I Goodridge lines on my Z. I never have noticed any great difference but they work. I did have installation problems though. Three of the 4 lines leaked at the flare where they meet up with the connectors on the frame. Goodridge sent me some brass crush washers to go in the flare to stop the leaks. They stated that the factory threads on the corvette are lousy and this doesnt allow full clamping of the flare fitting. The crush sleeves worked but I question the quality of the Goodridge lines as the origional lines never leaked.

I have to comment that Goodridge has another set of lines on the market, “Phantom” Series. It's possible these lines have continued the process in regards to the R&D for better fittings, which may be relevant because the original “G-Stop” lines might not have the same quality in reference to the fittings as other vendors, especially ones in our sport.
