Default Anyone else think the GM red wires are crap?

I replaced a cheaper set last year with the GM red wires because I heard these were the 'ones' to use. Today I decided to check the plugs for any unusual wear. Plugs were fine but the wires suck! One apparently popped loose of the plug end and was, I guess, bridging a gap of spark for who knows how long. The inside was white with powder and the plug end starting to corrode. All the other plug ends of the wires were loose. I'm assuming this is why the one popped off.

I replaced all of them back to the cheaper brand I saved. Had a firmer 'click' when attaching to the plug compared to the red ones. Running MUCH better now. I'm thinking that cylinder is firing more efficiently now.

Maybe a bad batch of wires? The ends just seemed too loose on the red ones. Any one else have bad experiences with the red wires?

I have had a set for 5 years now and have had no issues with them, Make sure when you change plugs to use some die electric grease on the wires so they will come off easy.

I do every time. The crimped ends of the red wires seems to be the issue. They are too loose on the plug emd.

No pretty much just you. Very distinct two audible clicks when they click onto the coils, one very distinct click when the wire clicks on the plug.

Installation error does not equal a poor product. They are a quality item.

I used the GM red wires on my '00 and they came on my '03 when I bought it. I've had zero problems with the wires on both cars.

They are working fine on my car. I am going to get them for my C6 when it needs plugs.

I didn't click one in all the way after installing headers. Drove for a while and after parking noticed my idle was wayyy off. I popped the hood and realized one disconnected completely while driving. Thought I had them all in there tight...but it is noticeable when they are installed correctly. Otherwise, no issues or complaints with mine.

Installed the wires in 08. No problems ,so far. If I remember correctly, there should be 2 clicks when installing on the plugs.

GM PP Red wires are some of the best plug wire around.

Challenge can be ppl pull the wire to remove, not hold by the end to gently remove.

Wasn't installation error. It was the wires. I have done hundreds of wire/plug changes with many different types of vehicles.
