Default Window draft

I have a 03 Z06 and at about 70 mph I notice some wind noise. I reached back to the upper side of the drivers side window in the back corner and could feel wind with my fingertips. When I stopped the car I examined the molding around the window and it looks fine. I then compared it to the other side and could see that the passengers side definitely bulges out more when the door is shut. Do you think I need new door molding? I took a pic of both sides so you guys can see what I'm talking about.

The first picture is the passengers side which seems to make a really good seal.

Try softing it up by applying silicon/vasceline etc. first. Might not need to rplace it.

It's soft enough I think It just doesn't seem to stick out as far as the pass side. I should have taken some pics from the other angle. I think you could have seen it better.

I have this problem but on the driver sound down at the bottom. Can't figure out how to fix it either. Same car too. Im thinking new weather stripping? I even adjust the window by loosening the bolts down in the door and using a suction cup tool to move the window in place.

Do NOT use vaseline (or any other petroleum based products) on rubber seals. Use a silicone product such as dielectric grease or a product made specifically for rubber treatment.

You could try the window tip-in procedure to make a better seal between the window and weather strip:

I have the same problem on both sides. I can slip my fingers in at the corner and pull them out quickly when at speed and that seems to fix it for the time. I understand that there is an adjustment you can make that will make the top of the window assembly lean in more(on my bucket list for the car) - although one person here reported that the guide rails had worm on their car causing the problem.

I'm going to try this. Sounds like I'm having the exact same problem. I hope to get to it this week. Once I do I'll leave an update to let you guys know if it works. Thanks for the link.

That just might eliminate a lot of the wind noise.

There was also another write up where you remove the weatherstrip and bend out the piece of metal sheet where the WS seats in. Thus causing it to push outwards of your car and put more pressure against window. Its the piece that runs vertical on the window.

Do you know what that write up was called? I'm going to try the other one first but if it doesn't work I'll try that one too.
