It certainly looks like it's flexing in the middle from the pics on the site.. My kwik lift doesn't move at all. Certainly a nice try, but I wouldn't go for it.
Insane! All it's going to take is for one poor guy to release the jack too quick and the car backs down over him while he's behind it operating the jack handle.
Yep, that's a great way to empty the company bank account.
If that's the price in British Pounds, then these are pretty pricey!!

I'd rather spend a few $$ more and get a proper lift that will go alot higher and be a lot more safer. Good idea but the price point kills it IMHO.
I have to agree with the safety comments though... This thing is NOT to be taken lightly..
I bought a new jack and had it slip out while standing behind it.. Luckily the car only dropped about 2 inches and didn't move (it's just the rear that you're lifting). The problem with these new jacks is that the cup is only a few inches in diameter while the the kwik lift tube is much larger.
All it takes is ONE guy to forget to set the brakes and have the car in neutral. Then this ONE guy grabs the jack handle to release the hydrualic pressure just a little......and you know how that works really well on those jacks..... DEAD MAN, or severely injuried one.
I've been working in shops for decades and have seen the dangest things injure mechanics. This is the dumbest contraption just waiting for that ONE guy!
Holy crap, that's expensive! By the time you paid frt it'd be 3K or better. It's a really cool idea though. Too bad somebody here in the states doesn't build an affordable one that would be safe under a vette. I'm sure it could be done. Might take this to a fab shop and see what they'd charge to build one.
