Okay guys and gals before i make another bad purchace... what cover should i get..? and from who... Live in co. drive the car on all the nice days... but want to protect the car in my garage which is a small 2 car.. The vette sits right next to my tool box...??? i want protection, but easy on off and storage...am i asking to much...??
I bought this Triguard from West Coast Corvettes and couldn't be more pleased.
It is a quality product, fits great, looks fantastic, protects the car, is light, easy to put on, easy to take off, rolls up and fits in the provided bag. Has the C5 logo embroidered on the front, and the word "corvette" embroidered on the back.
You can't go wrong, and especially at the price ($89.00).
Inside a garage; you can almost get away with throwing a blanket on it. Are you just trying to keep the dust off of it? Most important is to have the cover, as well as the car, spotlessly clean. The cover with a soft inside is beneficial.
Put the toolbox as far away from the corvette as possible. You don't want the car to become dependent on it! Seriously; put the toolbox in another room if there is any chance of damage because of it. They look good in the kitchen.

I bought one of the Intro-Guard covers from West Coast Corvettes. Lightweight, fits very well, has an embroidered C5 logo on the front and keeps the dust off very well. Got it on sale for something like $100.
What you need to do is get a cover from another generation corvette then adapt it to fit the C5 then post pictures here for us to comment on. I guess you could just buy a cover that fits a C5 but what would the fun be in that?
I've got a cover but don't use it. I like you try & drive during nice days in the winter. My feeling is putting a cover on & off a "almost clean" car is asking for issues. I use a Calif duster & enjoy seeing the car in the garage uncovered.
