I took the wifes car to the dealer for a raditor flush (grand prix) and walked around the show room. They had the 427 corvette that is in the comercials on the show room. It is a beautiful car but holy hell $90,000.00!!
I went to Houston a while back to look at two C6 Z06s and yeah holy cow is what we said to they were both still in the middle 50's
We are hoping after a year they will start coming down after the release of the 7
One of the White 2013 427 Verts with the blue stripes and the carbon fiber hood was at a local car gathering earlier this month. It was extremely impressive and for me the ultimate C6. I only wish all the street talk centered around the 427 being a bullet proof engine.
One of the best feelings in the world is when I wooooooop the crap out of a 100k Vette with my 01Vert! Just wish I could see the look on there face, pure priceless....................and 60k saved!

No offense brother but any car can be made to go fast.
In the end you're still in a 12 year old car and he is in a brand new ZR1.
That's the struggle that I face everyday, do I go out and buy a $80,000 dollar car?.... or be happy with the one I got? Mine is faster, looks great, custom built by me, paid for, and can be upgraded engine wise to even greater levels.
Or I could have one of those carbon fiber special edition Z06's that a guy I know has spent close to $90,000 and parked it next to mine and was pissed all day long at a car show. Crowds just walked by to gather around mine taking pics of them standing by it, totally blowing by his ride.
I think it's very difficult for the average person to know the difference between one model and another. They all look good and only the Corvette "people" or car guys really appreciate the different levels of fitment. If you are like some of us who have far better performing cars, it's a no brainer.
My car ($30,000 + total) is the "most" car I've ever owned. Maybe when I grow up and have the money, I'll be able to have more cars and blow $100,000 on one, just to say I threw that much cash away and still got blown away by a 15 year old Vette.
