My first impression is that this will be much easier to get in and out of than my old 1990 and the seat is MUCH more comfortable. He just put new Michelin PS2s on it and they appear to be very good tires so far in every respect. Except for the wheels it is 100% stock. It also has the divider behind the driver and trunk which I'm not sure about, but he said it keeps the cockpit much quieter. My wife says I'm like a kid with a new toy and can't believe the difference in comfort and performance over my old C4. I've learned a lot from reading the posts on here. Will post pictures after I clean the Vette up. Hello to all! Does the 2004 have the same valve spring issues as the earlier Z06s?

Congrats on the new Z06 !

The sound partition (divider as you call it) helps to keep noise in the cabin down, and also helps cool or heat the entire interior quicker since less volume inside the car to cool or heat. Its also helps keep stuff from the trunk flying forward in hard stopping situations

Most of the Z06 valve issues are being reported on the 02-03 Z06's. That's not to say it can't happen on the 04's. I would for sure do some reading on it and make a decision for sure. I would do it just for piece of mind.

I have some tips, and procedures you may be able to use.

Welcome to the C5 world !

Welcome to the C5 forum.

Glad you enjoyed & had a safe & trouble free trip with your new Z.

As a couple have already stated, have the valve springs changed out for piece of mind.

They don't make the LS6 motor any more...
