50th Anniversary Emblems
I replaced the emblems on my baby tonight. The front and rear were cracked and the paint was peeling off of them. Why are they made of such cheap plasic. The new ones look great.

The '03 and '04 silver emblems do seem to have paint issues - mine is the same way. Why GM couldn't make them as durable as the regular black emblems is a good question. The new emblems look very good on your car.

The silver paint regularly wears off the outer edges of the flags and the bottom edges of the flag masts. I just touch it up with silver duplicolor paint in a touchup applicator (after first putting down blue painters tape to protect the adjacent area). Seems to last about 6 months before needing to be redone.
