Max tire width





What is the widest I could go on tires for a stock C5 coupe with no rubbing? I've researched some older threads, but there didn't seem to be any concensus on what would really fit.
I was thinking 285/30/18 front and 335/30/18 rear.
I currently have 275/35/19 front and and 295/35/19 rear.

12s on mine now ,from the wheel well to the inside
If the tire there might be a 1/4 inch
Offset is more of a determinant of rubbing than width.
If you want a helpful answer:
1) A 285 tire on a 12" wheels is bad news. a 285 tire is more suited to a 10" wheel. 12" wheels should have roughly a 335.
2) If you want your wheels flush to the fenders (or close to it), those widths will not work.
3) running a 12" on the front (possible or not), doesn't make much sense from a performance standpoint.
If you are set on running an 18/18 setup, I'd suggest something along these lines:
Front:
18x10
285/35/18
Rear:
18x11
305/35/18
If you don't mind the rears poking out a little, you could go with a 325 or 335.

I responded to an ad and I haven't seen the wheels yet, but I'm pretty sure these are three-piece wheels so I can get two of them narrowed down.

i recommend a 12" wide wheel to go along with the 345s so that the tire protrudes beyond the wheel not the other way around.

18x12 & 18x305/30 fronts and 18x13s & 18x335/30 rear on left
18x10 & 18x275/35 and 18x12 18x335/35 rear on right

An 18x13 with the improper offset and backspacing will need longer studs, and a spacer.
What fares are those? They're nice.

but on public streets, T1 suspension, aluminum seat bolted to the floor, big wide arz tires, Rocks would be softer.
