Lifting pucks
HI
I need to make some lifting pucks today. My plan is to use a hockey puck. I see that some posts are using 1 puck and some are using 2 pucks. My questions is, for those have used just the one puck, have you had any issues?
Thanks
Ted

1 puck is just fine. Just screw an eye hook in and use some epoxy and your all set.

I used the orange pucks which are heavier - used for practice.

One puck should be just fine. I use BMW lifting pucks and they are not as thick as a hockey puck but work OK.

Anyone know the size of the eye hook needed for home made hockey puck?

I drilled mine and used 2 nuts not a lag screw

Bolts won't slip or pull out if you drill thru the puck and countersink the nut which will contact the jack or lift arm.

I have a set of four (single) w/lag screw eye bolts - they turn right in the slot and tighten down snug. I also keep one without a eye bolt that can sit on my jack plate. Works great either way.
