So, another question coming your way...Is there a way to get an ipod (or USB) hookup without changing out the original radio? I've used one of the set ups that plug into the car's lighter, and set to a certain frequency, playing the ipod through that station, but those are way too static-y. Is there a better, not overly expensive (<$250) solution?
Other than that I don't know myself unless you have a cassette, then you can get one of those thingies that use the cassette and then plug into your ipod. Not the best but doable. I have one in my STS and it's "OK"
I've had mine for about 5 years now and still love it. No more CD's sliding around, none falling on your lap from the visor, just 1376 songs at your finger tips.

No! ..I tired two and neither ever worked! Still have one holding down some paper on my desk new in the box. Want to try it? PM me.
We shipped out over 200 PXDP and PXDX kits last month alone and not a single issue and for you to have 2 that dont work tells me you did have it connected correctly.
My car has no changer and the stock radio has an AUX button to control the ipod. The radio controls will work to forward/reverse the track. just put the ipod on shuffle and leave it in the glovebox or center console and forget about it.
OK. Using this model, does it control the Ipod through the stereo controls or do you have to use the Ipod controls?
you have VERY limited controls with the radio. forward and reverse and thats about it. This unit will also charge the ipod as well.
You are mixing technology from early 90's with todays ipods. The pxdp will allow the ipod to connect through the stock system, charge and some controls yes.
Is there something that can be done with this setup to make it work with just an aux cord? I love this setup but I have an android phone that i'd like to use instead of an iPod

Zune.... way to go microsoft!!! Thanks for the info!! Will the factory CD player still work after this is installed or does this disable it?
cd player in the radio yes will work
CD changer will not work as if you do have one and use the connection for back of radio you have to disconnect it there too
