Can anyone recommend a rear view camera setup?
I know it's a little hokey, but I am so used to the rear camera feature on my 2012 Explorer that when I'm in the C5 I immediately look to my dash for help when backing up. Because of my custom painted standard bezel I am stuck with the stock radio for now. Even if I have to mount a display somewhere else in the cockpit I want to look into one of these setups. They are now wireless, which makes them even simpler to install. There's a kit right now at Costco for $119 that I might try out...just wondering if anyone has had any luck with one of these backup cameras.
If you get one, make sure it has depth perception. Without it, you will be able to see behind you but you will not be able to tell how close the items are behind you.
I agree with Jon B. On the other hand, it would be cool to have a new smart rear view mirror that shows what the back up camera shows when you put the tranny into reverse.

Actually, I use a combination of both. It's really helpful in the dark too. I guess until you try one you don't get it, but I have to admit this is one of the most valuable features to come out of the aftermarket in years.

It was the one mod I did to my car which I ripped out. I had the type which had a tuner box and an RF transmitter between the camera and the electronics. It wouldn't hold the tune. I'd go into reverse and see a fuzzy screen. Even when it worked I couldn't get any real depth perception from the wide angle lens.
I have the Kenwood 8120 in dash double din and a Kenwood full color camera with the foot marker and it is great. I use it while driving and can see all types of cars coming up on me ie Highway Patrol
I've got the deliriously expensive Kenwood CMOS310. Seems good. You should definitely install it as centered, square, and straight as you can, because there is some limitation to the precision with which you can adjust the camera for the distance and position markers.

Where did you install the camera? I'm guessing that it's between the exhaust pipes or perhap near the license plate. Perhaps a picture would be good.
Thanks,
Edit: I checked out the above links from previous responses and found my answer. Those are some very nice installations.
