Our car lot got a camry in with an Optima in service date 10/11.
My A/C Delco was slightly older, researched the 75/35 which is a correct fit
changed it out today.
If your car is going to sit for a week without driving it invest in a Ctek for it, You will need it.
Mr.Bill
I average a little over 200 miles per month on my car and I have a red top. I have definitely found this to be true. The upside of this is it forces me to find time to take the car out if even just for a short drive.

My car sits a week or more a few times a year and I've never had a problem with my Red Top. I only use my CTek when the car goes into storage over the winter. Red Top FTW!

I have a red top in my C5 and in my 72 Camaro, The Camaro can sit for weeks at a time and still start right up, The Vette is another story.
The Red Top is a good battery if you use it is a car that isn't a volt hog as the Vette is. The Vette has so much draw all the time that the red top has a hard time keeping up, That doesn't mean the red top is a bad battery, Just that a Red Top isn't the right choice for a C5. I have had my Red Top in my Vette for 3 maybe 4 years now and no issues, But I drive it everyday.

I believe that is the consensus. I will probably switch when the time comes.
would not put a pos optima in any car I owned...my opinion, to each their own
fwiw, the optima warranty service is very good. I had one replaced with no questions asked. Just handed me a new battery at Autozone and the rep commented that Optima is very good about taking them back.
I have 2 in my pick up because the water running down the hood gap over filed the standard type and ruined it. It also made it leak. No problems at all. It almost never moves in the summer as I drive the Vettes. I also have one in my C5 and only hook up the battery tender for long storage. No problems with either. The Vette has the ECM right below it and a Red Top will never leak. I would put up with the other problems for that reason. But they have not happened. To each their own but my C6 will get one too. I hate to repair the corrosion damage.

Never had a problem with Optima's or AC Delco. Both have exceeded their projected life expectancy by years. Personally I would never use a battery with the removable top caps in any of my vehicles as they always have some acid residue coming out of them. Since the AC Delco professional changed to top caps I now use the AC Delco 60 series in the Corvette and the trucks. The Optima's in the ****** and the RV.
