Default oil pressure

I just bought another vette, a 02. The oil pressure saids 130 psi while im driving,that doesnt sound wright to me. What would be making it read that HIGH.

The oil pressure sending unit has failed. Do a search on it, many posts.

Mine also. X2 on bad sender.
Problem is location on the rear of the block, hot = cooks sender.
Best to relocate, as I am doing when I do my intake manifold changeout.

If you have to replace the sensor, would be a very good time to think about doing the sensor relocation procedure - will make it much easier to change the next time.
