Default Stupid Question

Purchased from a member 17 and 18 " thin spoke rims only. Meeting him on new years day to pick up. Don't get to use the car often so if nice day want to drive out in the vet with the wife. Nice 125 mile round trip.
I have an 04 C5 coupe. I was wondering if I would be able to fit all four in the back. If anyone has experiance with this please advise. I know I know Dumb but what the heck :-)
Thanks

wheels only no tires?

should be no problem....you can always cut out some 17 and 18 inch circles and lay them back there to test fit....I am pretty sure if you stand them up behind the seats they will fit of course you would have to wrap them with towels or blankets....or lay the 18's down and stand the 17's up....

Should be no problem. Set three on the passenger seat and put the wife in the back with the fourth.

Just kidding. I think they should all fit fine.

. . . and bring a piece of wood or something else to keep the standing ones from rolling around.

They should fit easily though you might have to stand one or two on edge.

Lash them together with some cords and put a bunch of pillows or padding around them to keep them in place. One hard stop and they'll want to keep moving.

Yes, the wheels only will fit. When I sold my high polished rims off my '00, a guy from Indiana drove down and picked them up in his C5 coupe. They fit in the back.

I just transported my new (to me) thin spokes in the back of my coupe to have them mounted. They all fit in the back laying flat and I stood some carboard pieces in between them to keep them from clanging as it is snug.

Note - when I picked them up from the seller, he had them in boxes which did not all fit in the back.

so you guys are saying that they will fit in there but what if the tires are on the rims? will they still fit? I was hoping to get an extra set of tires and rims so I could have some slicks for autocross but obviously I wouldn't want to drive on the slicks to get out to the events

Tires and wheels will fit inside a FRC. But the wife would have to stay at home.

Actually it depends on how much luggage your wife will pack for a 125 mile trip.
