[QUOTE=James2002z06;1582711045]ive got my popcorn ready for this one[/QUOTE

in general, simply personal preference. i've seen them before & liked it. my color scheme is black/silver & 'clear' if you will, i'd like to remove all other colors(red). i've also heard there are vette logo's without the red for outside chassis too. provided true i'll be searching. why have a ride that looks like all the others is my MO.

i guess you could say for the same reason yours has uncommon black wheels, it's simply personal preference.

A) You're going to destroy your tail lights trying to separate the lenses...trust me.
B) It will look like crap with clear lenses...trust me.
Here's a link from where they were purchased including pics of others with it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/400274814986...S:1123&vxp=mtr

A) i hear ya but the others got them on there somehow so that's my quest is to simply find out how.
B) personal preference bro, you have your ride the way you like it don't ya? And you have no choice but to accept potentially negative opinions of others right? Exactly my point, it's the same scenario as my own.

You then use a good silicone adhesive and put the lens back on the bucket. I used wood working clamp's to hold them together until they set up. Most of these clear lens where made in Mexico and they have to be fitted to you taillight bucket, they are not made with the same quality your stock one's do. I don't have any pictures I can post but if you go to my avatar and click on the photo's it will bring up some pictures of the car. As far as some of the comments made about ruining the car, and they look terrible. You couldn't make some of these guys happy if you hung them with a new rope. It's your car do what you want with it. I have shown the car for the last 8 yrs and it is a consistent winner. I think I have an extra set of the lens if anyone is interested.
great advice, that's exactly what i was looking for, i really appreciate it. btw, Ready nice looking ride!
