Default Seat cushions

After an hour or so I'm getting sore from the poor seat cushion. I just sat in the passenger seat and it is so much more comfortable. This leads me to swapping the drivers seat cushions. How difficult is this?

Shouldn't be an issue. However, I would recommend buying the $40 seat upgrade that is sold by Corvette Central and several other forum vendors. It will give you a jute pad to put under the seat foam, a piece of ballistic nylon to put between the springs and the jute that will keep the springs from cutting into the foam, 4 pieces of stiff upholstery foam that go between the seat frame and the seat foam to keep the seat foam from pushing down into the frame. Works on all C5/C6 seats. Do both sides. It will take the wrinkles out of the leather as well since it tightens every thing.

Good advice by Bill. You can check out some install instructions on the Vette Essentials web site.

Another thought would be to upgrade to the DJ Motorsports stiffer foam. I bought a brand new 6 pc seat foam kit when I re-did my interior and even with the brand new foam and a yoga mat on top of the sprints I still found it uncomfortable. I bought the stiffer foam and could tell an immediate difference and loved it.

I guess that is more a matter of personal taste though, I guess I just prefer the stiffer foam in cars.
