When and where was the first time you saw your current C5 or one you have owned in the past? Do you still remember that rush of excitement you felt when you saw it and drove off in it?
Well i do, and every time i look at it i still feel that way.
Share your pictures if you happened to snap one of the moment you first saw it/purchased it. Here's mineJuly 2012 at True Street Motorsports in Mckinney Texas

A few months later, my C5 was in the shop for some body repair, and I was given the chance to ride shotgun with him on a couple of mountain runs.

It was love at first sight, and at first ride. Then, summer of 2011 rolls around, and he's looking at picking up an AC Cobra replica. I had been pestering him ever since, telling him to put me in his will for that FRC, and he gave me first dibs, at a price I was somehow able to afford. I sold my C5 hatchback(6spd this time, as my dad had my old A4), and September of 2011, Ole' Grey had become mine. Although this time, she had a few more mods under the hood.

I will be buried in her, or we will burn into the side of a mountain when they try and take my car keys away.

The day I picked her up and the first time I'd ever sat in the driver's seat...

Next to my dad's A4(my first Corvette). He also has a silver '98 Convertible he just bought recently. But no pictures of that yet.

New custom plate.

Finally I found a 2003 6 speed yellow convertible, immaculate condition, low mileage, decent price, etc. that was 6 hours away from my house. I called the dealership on my 25th birthday and put a down payment on the car on the phone that day. They said I called them 4 hours after they posted the car online.
I had the salesman take a picture of me in the car right before I loaded it on my trailer and took it home.
For several months I almost couldn't believe that I actually owned the car. Everytime I walked into the garage I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. I love the car to this day, I am glad I made a good choice. (and no, Jeep Grand Cherokees are not good at towing a car hauler!)

Taken the day I got it.
It was all stock with 14,000 miles.

That was in September of 2010 and the BMW dealership wanted $18k for this 49k mile example. It was exactly what I wanted but too much for my pocketbook. Patience paid off and in December they called me to see if my last offer was still good. I flew out to OKC and picked her up 12/30/2010.
First day home,

And today, not a lot different,

Except for the wheels and this,

The day I brought her home...

Today, after meeting all the passionate Corvette owners on this site...

This pic pretty much explains my excitement....

And how it sits now after 9 years of "tweeking" it....

I enjoy it MORE NOW then ever before !
Here is my car at my parents house the day I bought it
Here's the crappy dealer picture that I saved:

When I arrived and saw it on the lot, I totally forgot I was looking for a Torch Red 'Vette

Then they delivered it at my work!! I was kinda.....proud.
