Part of my 25 miles to work is the 10 mile drive on A1A (ocean drive).
Its a nice way to start the day.

As a retiree on the Oregon Coast I can take my car out for a drive at any time. It has become my "Happy Place." For example, when I'm at the dentist's office, I like to mentally go to my happy place while she's doing what ever it is that she does with both hands inside my mouth and I'm uncomfortable. Afterwards I take the long way home and everything is OK. (grin)

I envy your weather. I am also in the "milder weather" part of Oregon, but I must admit I just don't have the passion anymore to take the Corvette out in the winter. I am a stickler about not putting the Corvette in the garage dirty and it is difficult to clean when it's 40 degrees and raining.
I had to compromise by working on the Corvette in the garage over the last three days changing brake rotors and new oil & filter. (When you're retired you can do the front brakes one day, the rear brakes another) I need to do the break-in procedure, but I'll wait for a sunny day in the 50's.
