Painted mine with brush on Duplicolor Caliper Paint and never looked back
Got red Duplicolor Caliper Paint kit for about $15. Was replacing the brake pads all around so unbolted calipers and removed pads before cleaning the calipers. Never disconnected the brake lines. Used the spray can of brake cleaner in the kit and about 1 1/2 additional cans of brake cleaner using a wire and bristle brush to get the crud off of the calipers. Hand painted the calipers about 4 or 5 coats and less than an hour apart to cover the calipers with sufficient paint. Just one coat looks terrible. After 4 or 5 coats it looks great. Waited at least 24 hours for the paint to dry. Reassembled and installed new pads. Touched up a few spots nicked putting the pads on and reassembling on the brackets.
NOTE I did not paint the brackets just the calipers. Used a white touch up paint pen to paint the CORVETTE logo on the front calipers.
That was several years ago. They still look good.
