Default Cam HP Question

Now before I go on, please don't jump all over me for asking. I could be way off here. Just asking a question.

I just bought a car from another member Mods are as follows.....

•TSP 233/239 112 lsa cam
•Hardened pushrods
•LS6 ported oil pump
•PAC 1518 valve springs
•LS2 timing chain
•Cold air intake
•LT headers
•X pipe
•B&B exhaust
•Gutted cats

I was told the car dynoed at 370 RWHP. Does it seem like it should be a bit higher to you? I do not know what kind of dyno this was done on. I do plan on getting the car retuned one way or another. I am not sure if I will have the LS6 intake on the car by then or not. The car seems to be running way rich in my opinion. What are your thoughts?

I'm surprised all those mods and the PO never changed to an LS6 intake.

I know with stock 241/853 heads, bolt-ons and a cam like that should net ~400rwhp.

And what about the LS2 intake? Would that work with the LS1 throttle body? Any gains there?

Stock heads. Need to look for the casting number on the corners of the heads. Just look closely you'll find them.

I bet that baby is being chocked by the stock heads, stock intake, and throttle body. Also be sure and check the air filter, I've actually seen complete engine builds and the dorks left a plugged up air filter in. Shop guys stood around scratching their asses and heads upset that the build didn't pull the numbers expected, then one of them notices the air filter....high fiving each other and happy it wasn't a bigger problem.

Well I am pretty much decided on an Ls6 intake prior to my new tune. I am also going to port the TB myself. I plan to leave the heads alone this season. Hoping for 400 RWHP after I do these 2 things and get it retuned. Oh I also plan on ditching the B&B's for a bypassed TI system.
