These are my times at the track tonight:
13.074
13.095
13.024
13.016
13.077
I just couldn't get over the hump. I'm sure you pros are laughing at me, but for me these are good times. I just want to get into the 12's so that I can stop for a little while. :)
Your times are pretty consistent, Scott. Don't sweat the 12's, they'll come with practice. You know the car is capable of it. Once you break into the 12's you may have to stop racing for awhile anyway. Most tracks won't let convertibles run 12's without a roll bar. At least that way when people ask you how fast the car is, you can tell them you don't know because its SO fast they won't let you run anymore. :D
You guys don't understan just how good those times really are. This track REALLY SUCKS!!!
Many people that have come from the mainland have lost close to a full second on our track here. I would drop at least .5 off those time for comparison sake. :D :D
I think you can still go faster. It was very humid and not very cold last night, so I think you still have another .1 or .2 to go! Did you run out of gas on the way home?
I was going to say I thought those were good times for that track out there! I remembered Bill saying somthing to that effect when he came to visit us...er...uh...visit his car, I mean! :D
But doesn't everything get bumped up a second when you have a convertible? Although I've ran in the 12's several times now, so I guess they don't car.
Yeh, I think it depends on the particular track. Running mid-12's, no one has ever insisted I wear a helmet or snooped under the car for a drive shaft loop. Tech Inspection consists of taking your money and marking your race number on the glass. :) They do insist on long pants and no flip flops, though. Of course, that may be standard racing fare in Hawaii, eh Scott? :D
