Yes, the weatherstrip on the outside of the glass that runs the full length of the door. Not sure I can link them without getting a hand slap. I ordered from Rock Auto but these are the OEM part #'s 10313421, 10313420
Im not so sure this is what is scratching your window. It has a felt backing and the part is plastic. No way a plastric trim with the felt missing is going to scratch glass. I would take a look at the rollers on the window regulator. If they are worn or if the window is out of adjustment this can happen. I replaced my regulator due to large amount of play in the window when rolled up. It was the plastic bushings in the bottom of the window guides.
I would roll the current window up and down with the door panel off and watch where its making contact where its scratched.
Thanks for the tip Marc, but I am 100% positive that is what is doing it. I wedged the widow out and EXACTLY where the protrusion is on the sweep is where the scratch is. Same exact size and all. Not sure how to post a pic but if someone wants me to send them one to post I can take one. As I said, not sure if it was the sweep itself or dirt that gets between the sweep and the window. It is a very snug fit so could be either or both. Oh, and there is no hint of felt ever being there. I know there was but has long been gone. Either way the sweeps are extremely hard and brittle so changing them only makes sense. But believe me, if I see anything else in there that could be causing it that will get changed out also.

Well i have been wrong before but its a rare occurrence.
Joking.....
If that is the problem its an easy fix replacing the door trim w/felt. One screw and slide it toward the rear and pulls right off. LMK how it goes!
Believe me, I could be wrong also, but it just looks too obvious. The scratch matches perfectly with the contact point from the strip. If I roll the window up and down watching the "protrusion" it also matches the scratch in length from top to bottom.
Thanks again for putting me onto a nice door glass. Saved a bundle from purchasing new.
Cool. When I get a chance I'll take a look at that part on my '01. May have to add this to the list of "when I take the doors apart" projects.
If it looks like the same part is causing problems for you I don't think you have to take the doors apart to change them. Simply roll the window down and that's it. Not sure as I haven't done it and...the wife has been gone in it pretty much all day...
Go to a local glass shop and ask for some pumice. A lot of the small scratches can be buffed out with it and a power buffer.
i own a glass shop and i hate to tell you this..but if you can feel the scratch with your finger nail then chances are you won't be able to buff them out with rare earth a.k.a cerium oxide and a rawhide wheel..not to sure of the pumice stuff you are talking about or if its the rare earth stuff you were thinking about..and to add it..anytime you buff glass to remove the scratch's you distort the glass enough to where you can see it...tempered glass i would recommend not to even try to buff due to the chance of it blowing up..annealed glass ( glass before its tempered) you can but again it will distort a lot

I figure if I get to the point where I replace it I'll do the glass as well.
