I have been there and have driven both the R8 and the F458. I highly recommend either one of those. The R8 is easier to drive fast in my opinion. I would also recommend doing a couple more laps.
I used to work for Nissan and also have first hand experience with the GTR. Instead of driving it at the track, myself and another manager took it out on the streets and highway.

Yep. That's my thought. Is the R8 only in paddle shift automatic?

If it's your first time on a track in this type of car, 458 would be your best choice

Yes. Probably makes for a better story too but the R8 being very drivable is a consideration. I still want to know if all these cars are paddle shifters. I'm not as excited if they are. I thought I vaguely recalled reading that all R8's are paddle shift trans. Hope I am imagining that.
When Mom passed away my Brother and I did a week vacation in Vegas we did Spring Mountian and ERV and I drove the 458 & R8 My brother did the 430 & GTR what a thrill it was. I have to say Spring Mountian was the most fun we were lucky Ron Fellows was their that week. I only have 17 things left on my Bucket List out of 30

Then I think I will focus on Spring mountain instead. I need to comb through that ugly website and find the program prices. Hmm, that 458 Italia would be cool though...
Listen I have done the Exotic racing and it is worth EVERY PENNY. Do the drive TWO for like 399 and pick two. You get 10 laps total.
I drove the GTR and I passed every ferrari, lambo, and audi out there on the track like they were sitting still. It is a black edition with 0-60 in 3.0 seconds. IT IS QUICK and I have a ls7 swapped c5(Had a 08 gen IV Viper for a few months too) so my car is no slouch either. Trust me that car is worth it.
I passed 6 cars in five laps with that car. I have never raced a track in my life and I know it was my car and instructor not so much my driving skills.
ALL CARS ARE PADDLE SHIFTS. they have a z06 that you can RIDE in and drift the track but the criteria for cars there is <1000000 dollars and have to have paddle shifts hence no zr1's or gt500's.
Just saw this post. That clears it up. Thank you!
Hmmm, lots of votes for the gtr. A guy in my neighborhood has one and also a black edition. Maybe I should just offer him a few bucks to let me drive his. Of course the speed limit and traffic here wouldn't be as much fun
THe GTR and Audi are $150 cheaper for 5 laps. Good point, that is quite a lot for the difference of driving the 458 vs another nice car. True the Audi and GT-R are not Ferrari 458's but would still be awesome.
For the price of the 458 5 lap outing you can get 5 laps each in the Audi and GT-R. How's that AT&T commercial go? 2 things are better than 1... yes, kind of an annoying series of commercials I know
