Some have rated the Audi best for being able to get the most out of the experience if you aren't a professional. Would you agree or would you go with the GT-R? How do you compare the experience of these driving these two cars at Exotics?

The fastest car around our track is the Porsche 997 Turbo S. The easiest cars to drive fast are probably the GTR and the R8. The Superleggera probably belongs in that group as well.

The most fun I've had personally has been in the Scuderia and the Cayman R. They're the most "driver oriented" cars we have save the Z06 but that's not available for guests to drive.

Don't rip me up too bad on this one, but I think for the cost of taking a few laps, I'd prefer to go over to Rhino's and hang out with the ladies...

Two different kind of rides. Personally think the 5 lap ride would be better than 5 lap dance ride. Hahaha

I had a Vega once. Every time I see the title to this thread it cracks me up. I thought it said "Exotic Racing Vegas" at first.

It cracks me up when I read people talk about how many cars they passed up with a certain car. It has nothing to do with the car or how good the driver is. There are all kinds of drivers on the track including women and they are not all about how fast they can go. They just want to enjoy driving in an exotic and are not all about pushing the car to it's limits so of course you're going to pass them up. You'll even see Maserati's passing the Lambo's and 458's, but it doesn't mean the car is faster or the driver is better.

I did this event in October and it is well worth every penny. I drove 4 cars: the 458 Italia, 430 Scuderia, R8, and Porsche Cayman R. The 458 Italia is hands down the all around best car to drive. The acceleration, braking, handling, and smooth shifting are bar far better than any other car. Next came the Scuderia, it was a lot louder and the shifting wasn't as smooth, but otherwise a very fun car to drive. Then the R8 and Porsche didn't really impress me too much becase they came after the Ferrari's which they couldn't compare to.
All the cars are paddle shifters. The instructors are awesome because they actually encourage you to drive as fast as possible and tell you exactly when to brake and shift. The cars are very easy to drive because they respond so well. I got up to about 125mph on the longest straightaway.....but only with the 458 and Scuderia.

Words of advice:
Many times certain cars are in service so you may not alwasy get the car you signed up for. Pick another car and ask for 7 laps instead of 5 for the inconvenience. Or ask for a free ride along in the C6 drifting which is an awesome experience. They are very good at making sure the customer is 100% satisfied and will accommodate these requests.
I also highly recommend getting the video of you driving the car.
Good luck and I'm sure you won't be dissapointed.

Thanks all. I'm headed there later this week and I am still picking between the GT-R and R8 based on performance and drivability for the price. If I'm only going to get up to 120mph then I am not sure the extra $150 is worth it for the 458.

The 458 is one of my favorite non-Vettes but so is the R8 and the McLaren. The GT-R is a car I like just because it is such a good performer, but it doesn't carry the same stature as the others. Perhaps I should forget the actual driving aspect and just pay the extra money so I can know what it feels like to pilot a 458. Hmmm...

I agree with that. You do see more GT-R's than the others, although not many GT-R's either. I see a 458 here in Florida a few times a year and in South Florida they probably see them much more often. I have seen a couple R8's. I've don't recall ever seeing a McLaren 12C. I guess the McLaren may be the most "exotic" of all.

Sounds like a blast!! I'd go with either Ferrari (but leaning towards the 458).

Let us know how it went!

Personally, even though I know your temptation is to drive the Ferrari's, I've driven the Testarossa, 355, 360 and 430....8 cylinder Ferrari's just don't do it for me. In addition, you are liable BIG if you damage one. So, in consideration of that, I'd drive the GTR. It's more sure footed, likely faster around that track than any of those Ferrari's, and cheaper to fix.

I'd rent the GTR and beat the **** out of it.

100% the 458 is the best car there 430 entry level to say the least Nissan absolute junk overpriced maxima lol real gtr is right hand drive
When I visit my family In Italy every year I take my cousins italia out while I'm there and nothing like it
If your gonna pay drive a car you'll never drive here again you can go to any dealership and test a gtr or Audi anyway of the week
And most likely there all paddle shifts most ferraris and lambos are factory like that

Good points here and I agree. Although, I don't think my local Audi dealer is too quick to let you walk in a go pleasure drive a R8.

Ok... I did the Exotic Racing a few months ago... it was FANTASTIC!!! I drove the Superleggera first...fast car and ALOT of fun. But there was no comparison when I drove the 458 Italia... that car is Unbelievable!!! And for the record, on the 4th lap, I caught up to the GTR and on the longest stretch on the track, we both hit the gas coming out of the curve into the stretch and yes... I had to back off of the gas cause I was getting too close to the GTR... and eventually passed the GTR! The Driving instructors that ride with you are Great! They'll push ya to get the most out of the cars with respect to your driving capabilities. The experience was AWSOME!!! I'll be going back to Vegas again... and will absolutely go back to the Exotic Racing Track!!

I have done this experience..
I would do the 458 again. There are not too many cars worth 300k, but that is one of them.

My only advise would be to buy extra laps... 5 laps is not enough.

The superleggera was fun and kinda of easy to drive... being all-wheel drive, it takes the curves pretty well. I felt relatively comfortable going into the curves fast... getting all four wheels squealing. But when I drive the 458, I felt I could hit the turns harder and faster... coming of the turns and flooring it as soon as possible... that consistently screamed from gear to gear! I cant wait to do it again!!!
