The C2 will always be the special Corvette considering it was only around five years.
I never warmed up to the C6 design primarily due to the headlights. It has nothing to do with them being integrated, vs. pop-ups, rather I always thought the design was ugly, especially on the lighter colored cars.
The C7 seems to have corrected that design flaw while moving the ball forward. I think a C7Z is going to look great in my garage parked next to my C5 vert!
Amen...C2, C5 and now C7 - easily my three favorites as well. Even without seeing one "in person" yet, I like that the C7 team was brave enough to do some things that were bound to create adversity within the Corvette ownership family - change is good and the Corvette was due for it.
I have to agree with you Bill, but I am really beginning to like the looks of the C7.
I have to disagree somewhat. I like the overall lines of the C7, but I really dislike that huge triangular spear that has been stuck onto the lower side of the car; the vents would look better if they were less conspicuous, perhaps body colour and at the rear, I do not like the four symmetrically spaced tail pipes; it would look better with two exiting on each side behind the wheels Ferrari fashion. The tail lights - okay, but not great.
63 ZO6,C5ZO6,and MAYBE...C7Z. The 63 split window is a rare bird and evrytime I see one I wish i had one. My C5Z in the words of the infamous Bill, "still has it. " I get as many stares today as I did when it was new. I think more so because you dont see many of them on the street often, especially in my area. Never liked the C6 ,fixed headlights, not as curvy as the C5, saw them everywhere. C6Z, would have considered at one time but I loved my Z too much to take the leap. Also couldnt see climbing out of a faster than stock car thats paid off, to get into a newer fast car and a car note. Since the C7Z is still a few years off, maybe i can start saving my pennies. Wont lose any sleep until then, though.
I'm totally with you Mr. Bill ! I just can't believe I have a Corvette and love the curves and beauty of my C5 every time I see and drive it. Life is great!
