There have been a number of posts about those tires - I don't recall seeing any negatives about them.
Another tire to consider is the Hankook Ventus V12 EVOs - you can get a set for about $650 shipped to your door and they are a really good tire for the price.
Michelin PS AS ZP Plus on our '02 and am very pleased with them. Smooth running and quiet.
No comparison to the hard, noisy Goodyear's
Edit: Total price for them including tax, alignment and fees was $1,193.00 out the door including a $70.00 rebate. This was at the local dealer 14 months ago. Very reasonable to me for such a quality tire.

Reason: price

Who has them for that price? Cheapest I'm finding is $850 plus shipping.
If you want to stay with run flats, the Michelin Z/P's are your best choice.
I am running these tires also. I am happy with them so far.
Not a "low bid" tire though for those looking for new sneakers at the lowest possible price.
Tire Rack has good prices and Mavis (they did for me) may honor that price if you ask, saving a few dollars.

Would you really trust Mavis with your wheels, and their ability to deal with run-flats?
The Michelins are great on almost any car - - but they're certainly on the high end pricewise - - probably the most expensive one you can buy at over $300 each plus certificates, mounting and balancing.
Suggest you use the search function and type in the names of each of the major brands . .Nitto, Hanook, General, Bridgestone, Michelin, Goodyear, etc --that will take you to specific threads and detailed discussion of the plus/minus of each.
Then go to the forum tire sponsors- lower left of the page- and price out the stock sizes 17s front, 18s rear- and go from there. I'm running the Nitto 555's and roughly half the price of Michelin and am pleased.
Good luck and welcome to the forum- - there's a ton of information!

discounttiredirect.com has the Hankook Ventus V12 EVOs for $666 with free shipping to most places. However it looks like to Hawaii they have expensive freight (over $300)
I got these last summer for $478 delivered. they were $658 but had an $80 Hankook rebate and a $100 Discount Tire rebate. I mention it because I have seen both the Hankook and the Discount Tire rebates come up repeatedly. The Discount Tire rebate seems to be at every holiday just for the weekend.
Appreciate all the feedback. I think I want to stay with the run flats, got a price from my local Costco $1378 all included, Tire Rack is $1130 plus taxes and then I have to get them across the border and have them installed. Have a couple months before the snow is gone and roads get cleaned up so have time to do more research.
Need to replace tires on my C5, I'm mostly just a cruiser, not a racer. Any experience with Michelin Pilot Sport AS plus
My 2004 vert came with Michelin PS AS Plus tires when I bought it last October. Much quieter than the Goodyears on on my previous C4. So far, I find nothing wrong with them. They have 50% tread left, are quiet and are good in the rain (my test drive was in heavy rain).
I have replaced the original tires with Kuhmo run-flats (on my third set, I have 118,000 miles on car) and am very happy with the price (about 1,100 and the wear ( I get about 30,000 miles). Look into this. By the way, make sure that whoever replaces your tires retrains the TPMS. This has to be done every time tires are replaced.
