I agree that you were a victim of "bait and switch"...sort of.
The Jegs/Summit comparison isn't a good one, because they tell you what brand camshaft, shifer, or carb you're getting. If you're observant enough, you realize that the 3 digit prefix is their manufacturer code.
With you oil filters, the sellers' ad specifically says they're selling you an 'Auto Extra' filter, even giving you an 'Auto extra' part number...if anything, it's like Purolator, and their off-brand, 'Power Flo' filters....

figured that'd be the outcome. One of the excellent companies around but even on there you still have to pay close attention as you found out... Glad it's a good resolution for ya
