Got some more done today...not too much though. My lines around the edges still need some work but I'm just trying to get the inside shape done first. Sanding in the corners is proving harder than I thought it would.
This is the first time I bolted it to the car. You can see it needed some gap work to say the least.
And here she is all gapped where I want it.
And here it is primed up. I've already wet sanded and reprimed it but there's no point taking another grey pic. I'll have it silver and clear coated tomorrow barring anything ridiculous.
I'm thinking about using the 3rd brake light area as the reverse light. I just have to replace the red lense with a clear one then wire it to the reverse light wires.
As far as a 3rd brake goes, it really needs to be in the back window IMO so I'm going to find one that works back there instead.

The clear-lens 3rd brake lights use red LEDs (even the factory one has red LEDs if i recall) Your best bet would be to get an aftermarket 3rd brake light and change the LEDs from red to white. I could do this for you as I have experience opening reverse lights and tinkering with the circuit boards. Let me know if you're interested.
Turns out you're not too far from me. Don't let the MS plates fool you, my wife is stationed in San Antonio but I get to keep my state of residency keeping a single plate vs. running a front one.
