I've only had my o3 yellow with 13k on the clock for 1 yr. It came with chrome after market wheels. The chrome has just not grown on me. The polished aluminum look is the way to go.

I do believe that 245 40zr 18's and 285 35zr 19's are the stock size for the rims. Any thoughts or comments will be gratefully appreciated. I haven't ordered the tires yet. Thanks to you all.
I think you will need a 1/4 spacer.

Default Wanting new wheels

Check out Ace Alloy Wheels "Slick" wheels. Excellent quality, not too heavy for aftermarket wheels and they look great!

Repros or original, gumbys, just can't decide. I do want chrome. Just looking at putting my own touch to one of the most fantastic cars made but don't want to go backwards. I do love the looks of my vette but, want that extra kick. You all are so helpful with your words of wisdom is why I would like to hear what you say. Thanks so much and hope I can also help sometime.

Thanks for the nice comment, it is great to have a creative photographer for a son, and a such a cool car for a subject.

Hi all. Tried to prefit my new wheels and was very frustrated. Added a 1/4 inch spacer to the rear and found only about 3/4 inch of space between the rim and the wheel well. I just don't know what to do. I don't think the lug nuts grabbed enough. Uuggggg. Am I just over thinking this or should I just order the tires. I know that this has been a thread for some time but I just can't get the answer. I'm leaning to the original size rims and being happy with them. HELP.

Hopefully meflyFRC will chime in. I'm pretty sure he had spacers in the past. Are you having issues with the front or rear wheels??

Don't worry too much, I'm sure all the issues will work out & you will look back & say "wow I worried too much". When getting wheels that may not be an exact fit, there is always a level of patience/frustration that comes aong with it.

The space between the inner wheel and the wheel tub is only about 3/4 inch. I'm just not sure if that is enough room if you catch a bump. I haven't tried the fronts yet. Thanks very much.

Im pretty sure to run oe c6 wheels you need to use at least a 1 inch adapter. With only 1/4 they are too far in from the outer edge of the quarter panel too.

Im running c6 offset 19x10s on my car with a 25mm adapter and it looks about perfect. I have considered possibly moving to a 1 1/4 inch adapter though. But definitly 1/4 inch isnt enough. It may not rub on the inside but it will have that sunken in wheel look that looks terrible.

I bought my adapters as a set of 4 but only used 2 and im selling the other 2 if youre interested.
