Im curious if anyone has compared the ever popular MGW shifter to a Kirban shifter. If so what were the differences noticed, which felt "better" or more improved compared to stock and did the anti-venom mod improve the feel of one over the other.
would like a better shifter for performance on my 6sp c5 ..any suggestions and installation tips ??
I'm getting ready to install the MGW. There's quite a bit of debate on the forum, both pro's and con's. I've made my mind up on the MGW. Check out there web site, they have an installation video and it looks very simple. You may also want to search for the anti-venom mod.
I have a MGW, not upset with it but it is a little notchy. I haven't done the mod to it. But I'm used to it now. I actually like to know when it's in gear and when it's not myself.

Buy the MGW shifter.
Watch the installation video.
Follow the installation instructions TO THE LETTER!
BTW, if you have a vert, the "waterfall" has to come out before the console can be moved.
Common sense, but I would add: park the car on a level surface and you won't have to worry about pulling the brake or leaving the trans in neutral. Chock the wheels if in doubt.
