I just picked-up a salvaged '03 Z06. It had no structural or functional damage (it appears that only the windshield needs replacing and the roof needs a bit of fiberglass work). It's a low-mileage car (25k). I ran through the DTC codes, there seems to be quite a few. I didn't get a chance to write them all down, I think there was only one PCM code, but the ABS light is on and there were quite a few BCM and others. However, my question concerns the valve-springs. The engine seems to run great, very smooth, no abnormal noises, all the fluids and oil look fine. What concerns me is the car was built early in the run - it was actually delivered, originally, to the Corvette Museum in October '02 (there's a sticker on the door and when I ran a vehicle report through my local Chevy dealer, it showed-up there, too.) Anyway, my concern is the valve-springs were probably never changed and I've heard plenty of horror stories here. I have a new set of springs in my garage that I never got around to installing in my other Z, which has ~106k miles now. I figured I'd put the question to collective wisdom that I've found on the forum - should I replace the valve springs right away (there's a lot of other issues that'll need to be resolved before the car can be retitled)?
So, what exactly is "Museum Delivery"? The original owner only brought it back once for warranty work - new windshield, "Perform Reprogram and Functional Test, and Front floor panel carpet replacement.

The original owner picked up the car at the factory plant in KY... it never went through a Chevy dealer.
I'd do the springs for the piece of mind. I replaced mine and found out I didn't have the bad batch of springs, but I sleep better at night knowing for a fact that the weak springs are not in my car.
