Thanks PhysicsDude. Since UV is invisable to humans I assume we are dealing with Flourescence material that emits a longer wavelength, therefore visable. Those little orbiting electrons are processing the photons to lower energy levels
PSo you have any info on the bulbs, I would like to see if I can get the manufacturer to send me a spectrum chart of the radiation they emit. They probably emit some visable light. Any idea of what the Flourescence material is?
Actually they are called UV lights. Fear not Corvette owners, they are actually healthy UV rays and from this little burp, I now see why I am hooked on driving my car and feel so good about it. "Indeed, the 1903 Nobel Prize for Physiology/Medicine was awarded to Dr. Niels Finsen for his work treating the disease lupus vulgaris with ultraviolet light. While the indoor tanning industry in the United States promotes its services for cosmetic purposes, the fact remains that exposing the skin to ultraviolet light is the body’s primary means of producing vitamin D (which in turn is related to positive physiological effects). Exposure to UV light is also responsible for the production of endorphins and serotonin (which in turn is related to positive psychological effects). " HERR HERR! Keep those displays on HIGH!
