Crashed c5
Hi!
I just had a frontal crash in my c5- single car accident. Airbags deployed, and front bumper broke.
I have full coverage and adjuster is telling me that the car may need to be totaled, as he may not be ale to find a new c5 dash.
Any ideas? Anything would help, I never had to deal with accidents and insurance issues before.
Thanks!

Glad you are OK. Replacing a whole dash is sucky. Hope you are able to work things out either way you go.

Should be no problem to find what you need to repair the front and replace the air bag(s). The Ins. adjuster must be new.

C5 dashes are all the same and gm has to make the parts available for ten years.

IMO, unless you're joking (doesn't seem so)...that's a total bone head thing to say to a guy that crashed his obviously liked/loved C5...on a C5 thread.

Why would you need to replace the dash - should just be the airbags I would think and surely you can find a set of them. And the front bumper should be available (or go with an aftermarket one). Good luck with the repair.

I'm surprised the adjuster from the insurance co. didn't offer to buy it from you for a $100 for salvage.
