newbie again
Anyway, I am looking at a 2000 base corvette (AT), and wanted to get everyones opinion of that year and what items I should be worried about when I check it out for the first time. He supposivly has kept all maintenance records and I would like to know the critical ones that I need look out for. Here is a list of things he has done to it.
Borla, computer Hypertect download, Cold air, bypass on throttle body, car was lowered. He has owned it since it had 10k miles and it now has 138k. He lowered his price to $10k. I am arranging a visit to see it this weekend. Any advice would be great. thanks.

I've got a number of Word files, including a Corvette Buyers Checklist, that might help you out. If you'd like a copy of the files, just PM me your e-mail address.
2000, 128k miles, 66 yr old owner, (2nd owner for last 117k miles, AT (originally a 6spd, professionally converted to auto with a built up trans at 30k miles), it was wrecked along the side at 10k miles and rebuilt, title clean though, the top of one of the door jams isnt aligned with rear qrtr, he installed a headlight conversion kit and fender and nose body lines need adjusted, cracked windshield near the rear view mirror, lowered, exterior nicks and scratches, ECBM was replaced, 10 yrs of maintenance records, top of plexiglass roof has sun damage, tires 50%, oil pressure gauge pegs to the right, dash lines around the passenger air bag looks odd, 160deg thermostat, hypertech programmer, newer chrome wheels in 2007. borla exhaust, cai, small piece of weather stripping has some caulk on it, and you can see daylight at the door window back corners, he replaced the shocks with aftermarket ones and had to disable the ride selection. He used a tech 2 scanner to check the codes. He did it fast and i dont know if they were C's H's or HC's. He was clearing them after he read them to me. I wrote them out as quick as i could and may not be exact. Here are the codes: p0113, p111,p0412, b2282,b2284,u1016,u1064,u1255 ,u1096, u1255, u1096, b2203, b2265, b2283, b2285, hc 1225, 1226, c1286, 1631h. He said some codes were from the cai, and some were from recent dead battery, and some may have been old codes from replacing the ECBM. Not sure. Test drove car and it drove great, handled and braked great. He says he is at $10k firm, but I think he has some wiggle room. What do you guys think?

Some of what he says is plausible, but I would still be careful as you are talking about $10k which is, to some of us, still a heck of a lot of money.
Just my $0.02.

I would definitely take it to a Vette mechanic and get his take on it first.
10K is not a lot of money for a nice 2000 Coupe, but if it takes 10K to put it in top notch shape, there are better deals out there.
Here is one better deal, IMHO

Bet you could pick it up for between 18 and 19, and comes with a two deal drive train warranty.
