Default automatic shift **** adapters

I am considering a new shift **** for my 2004 C5.

It is an automatic.

Do any of you have experience with any of these adapters?

Do they actually work as well as the push down button?

Any advice and pics would be appreciated.

I have one and it is perfect...they run about $50. You push the whole **** down to shift...the tension is tricky to adjust, but once you get it right you're good to go. I keep an allen wrench in the glove box in case the set screws get loose, but if the **** lifted off you would still be able to shift with your thumb on the stock shaft.

I have been wondering about this as well - In addition to the functionality, with adaptor installed and **** on top of that how much taller, if any, is it over stock?

Here is a picture of the stock shift **** at a similar angle so you can see the difference in the height........hope this helps.

I have had one for some years now and never an issue at all, Works great, It does sit a little higher than a stock shifter, I do find it very comfortable.

The possibilities are unlimited. While my C5 has an MN6 tranny, I made this one for an A4 owner.
