I have a 1998 corvette, stock and just had nitrous installed. I'm able to increase from 50 HP up to 200 HP. My car is a 350 HP. Any suggestions for the nitrous increase? 50, 100, 150, or 200??? What would be safe???
assuming a stock bottom end, reasonable miles on the engine, and well maintained engine, I would think a safe max nitrous boost would be 125hp used wisely. Also, make sure you have the proper safety switches and timing in place as well. Good luck.
Guys thanks for the info... My vet has 42,000 miles, Corsa exhaust, performance tune by Tom Wong. So, the suggestion would be 125 shot. I had the cold fusion style installed.
The reason for the nitrous install is cause my son owns a 2011 WRX STI hatchback stock and is always bragging how he's faster than me. So, unbeknownst to him I installed the nitrous kit. Seriously what's my chance of taking him now!!
Rule of thumb is shot should be half your HP. N2O is fun and since you have the luxury of adjustable regulator start low drive around and work your way up to your comfort and see how the car responds.

A stock STI is faster than your corvette?? Do you have an auto??
Tell us more about your car. Stick? Tires?
A 125 shot in low gear might turn you around in a hurry.
I think you also want to make sure the traction control is off before use.
125 horse is like adding heads, cam and headers at the touch of a button.
I think it may be smart to start at the low end of the scale and work your way up.
