I've had this come on before but it always clears by itself. The times it happened were mostly after putting in fuel. This time no fuel was added. It's been a few days now. All these codes were history, PCM P0171 + P0174, IPC B0516, and HVAC B0367. Does anyone have an idea what these are? Or any way I can clear them? Thanks..
The P0171 and P0174 are bank 1 and bank 2 lean on the O2 sensors. Likely causes are an air leak after the MAF. Check for cracked hoses and or loose clamps in the air intake system after the MAF.. It could also be caused by a gas cap that has a bad seal.
Roger that, I'll check those. Thank you both for your help!
I checked the air hoses for leaks/cracks and the gas cap seal, which appeared ok. I spun the cap in a few turns, and this morning, no more light! Thanks for the assist guys!!
if you do not put the gas cap on all the way, or incorrectly or the threads dont match, it will throw a code at you. This is a big NO NO when you have to get a smog check!
I have an o-ring fuel cap on 2 of my cars. I like to put a little silicone lubricant on them so they seat well and don't stick when the cap is removed. Just a thing I do being an **** engineer.
