How hard is it to change the gear in the headlight door. Right one making noise and probably needs replacement. Which gear is best nylon or brass? Thanks in advance.

Purchase the brass gear....from rodney dickman dot com. The kit comes with complete instructions with pictures. I did both of mine ....

Send him this pic... It helped me out big time. The two blocks hold up the light and hold the motor tightly in place. Especially helps for the reinstall.. cuts the struggle more than in half.
Mine was stuck closed so it was not easy.. if he lets it get to that point its 10x times harder and requires jacking up the car, make sure to tell him to do it soon.
