How rear is this
A c5 with out fog lamps. in 1997 sat down ordered my car from a list of options,passed over fog lamps 69 dollar option.

Fairly rare, in 1997 about 90% of buyers opted for the T96 fog lights option. During the following years that percentage rose even more to between 92% to 97% of coupe and convertible buyers opting to have them. They weren't available on the Z06 until 2003 when they became standard on all models regardless of equipment group.

My 99 vert don't have them either. I was surprised because it has most other options except 6 speed. I'm not going to be driving in the fog any ways, so it doesn't matter to me.

Looking at the Corvette Action Center data it seemed to suggest that the Z06 also got standard fog lights from 2003 with the Coupe and Convertible. But I have to admit I cannot find a copy of 2003/2004 Z06 window sticker that includes T96 fog lights, whereas all Coupes and 'Verts of those years do.
I stand corrected.
I will adjust my statement to read...."T96 fog lights became standard on all Coupes and Convertibles from 2003 on, regardless of equipment group".
