LMC5 collumn lock bypass Installation
Since the weather is still bad I decided to install the LMC5 module today . Not clear on one thing. The paperwork says disconnect the battery. Is there any danger of losing settings or locking up the radio ? Would it help to plug in a cigarette adapter with a 9 volt battery or is it even necessary ?

First off, do you have a red blinking light on the radio when you turn off the car? If so, then the TheftLock is activated. Hopefully you have the four digit code if it is activated. If the light is not blinking, you won't have to worry about it - you will just have to reset the stations unless you hook up the 9 V battery.
