I read one guy's post that they were obnoxiously loud. I guess that is purely up to the opinion of each.
They were on my 00 when I bought it, I hated them from the start. Unnecessarrily loud and obnoxious. My 72 open sidepipes 454 isnt as loud at idle as these things were. As a daily driver I didnt see the need to have a headache and yell to the passenger every time I wanted to go somewhere. A modern sports car is supposed to be refined. It can be fast without sounding like an alcohol fueled dragster. I guess I fall into that crowd that believes sound does not equal performance.

You can hear mine from over a mile away if I'm really hammering the throttle. My family and neighbors hear me leave the subdivision and can trace my route when I leave early in the morning.

Not for the faint of heart and definitely loud, but pretty awesome.

If you want a nice deep sound but are worried about the drone then try the GHL Bullets. I had them first and they sound awesome. For me, I had a slight drone with the GHL's right around 80mph. I have cam/headers, so I think that is why I had a little drone when others didn't.

For anyone on the fence about selecting an exhaust, meet up with a local Corvette Club or Forum members and get a ride in their car. Make sure you know exactly what mods they have and you will truly get a sense for what cars sound like with different exhausts.

Good luck in your choice. If you want insanely loud, go B&B Bullets!

Did you switch from GHL to BB because you wanted louder? The tone is pretty similar, isn't it??

Thanks for your reply above.

I switched because I stopped driving the car every day and wanted much louder. While the tone is similar, it is also quite different. The GHL's are definitely quieter and just a touch deeper. It was not uncommon that even die hard Vette guys would come up to me to ask what exhaust I was running because they had never heard it before.

If you want a loud, deep sound that isn't going to make your head explode, then the GHL's are a great choice. Again, despite all the many many reviews here, mine droned slightly right around 2000 rpms in sixth gear only. That was easily solved by driving faster or shifting to fifth! I had no issues driving it daily with my cam/header setup with the GHL's.

The B&B Bullets on the other hand, would probably get old quickly if I drove every day. But if you aren't worried about the volume, you will love them.

Here's a video with my B&B Bullets featured pretty well.

I've been told that exact same thing, however I'm running Borla straight pipes with headers and cam. Small children and animals run for cover when I start the car.
