Default Billy Boat Bullets

I am considering purchasing Billy Boat Bullets for my C5 LS1 and was curious if anyone who has these experiences any droning?

you will get droning yes.
But once you hut the go pedal the droning becomes an insanely awesome sound!

I get a drone around 1800-2000 rpm in mine. The sound is unbelievable, but you might get tired of the noise if your car is a daily driver. I only put about 1000 miles a year on mine, so I can deal with it. I can't begin to tell you how many times someone has pulled up next to me at a light and told me how good my car sounds.

I love the sound of them. At cruising speeds they are not to bad. They do get loud when you punch it though

I've had a problem with the tips on the right side dropping a little. We've tried everything, but they're still a little lower than the left side.

I've had the Bullets on my 02 a long time. I loved the way they sounded until I put an X-pipe on, that killed the awesome gurgle sound when slowing down.
.....and yes, they do drone but I solved that.

Love that audio. JBL is #1 in my opinion. I am going to upgrade the door speakers in my C5. I have a sub in the back that I'm considering updating too. Other than sheer volume, the JBL Premium sound system in my Toyota Sienna Limited is far superios than the full range doors, rears, sub and amp in my C5. You just can't beat JBL's crystal clear highs and high volume in my opinion. My bose home system is sweet but i don't think it's any better than the JBL's in my 2006 Sienna!!!!

How similar are the b&b bullets to the GHL bullets?

I read one guy's post that they were obnoxiously loud. I guess that is purely up to the opinion of each.

Never heard the ghl bullets, but the B&Bs ive had on two vettes. headers and B&B Bullets are straight race car sound. IMO totally bad A$$. if thats not your thing then i would consider a diferent setup.

That's exactly what I like so I hope my GHL's sound similar! The GHL bullets have a similar sound to borla stingers but a bit more sound at idle and in throttle.

I never realized how loud my car is until a technician took it for a drive. I could easily hear it for several blocks. My wife claims that she can hear me coming back into our subdivision, which is probably 3/4 mile away. She's also told me that she's heard me running it through the gears from quite a distance.
