Congrats on your C5! First mods I recommend are a tune up, fluid flush and take it for a long, enjoyable drive. After that, I'd say to go with headers, catback, intake and lower the car. Best of luck with it, from another young blood!

Congrats on getting the C5 - nice looking car. Consider a good catback system for the car if it doesn't already have an aftermarket one on it. I'd highly recommend a Corsa Pace Car system. A new air intake like a Blackwing or Vararam would be a good addition too.
I bought my first Corvette about 18 months ago, an '02 Coupe. I was 62 years old. Certainly wish I had bought one at your age; that way I'd been enjoying Corvettes for over 40 years!!! Best car I've had. Congratulations! !!
PS. Don't Mod? You gotta be joking. 1. Cold air intake. 2. Catback exhaust. 3. Long tube headers.
Sweet ride, if you start modding, make a well thought out plan on what you want to do, it will save you some bucks in the long run, (ask me how i know) there are several great intakes out there. Check out the 4 sale section.
The engineers that designed your car did a good job. Loading it with aftermarket modifications will cost money and make the resale value drop. Unless you plan on track racing or driving like the Dukes Of Hazard avoid the temptation to mod. I ran away from cars with mods when I was shopping.
Nice looking car. Congratulations. Take your time with the mods, drive the car and decide what you think it needs. Most people start with a cat back exhaust, then a cold air induction kit. I went with a corsa touring and a calloway honked intake. One of the best mods you can do is to switch from the run flats to a good performance tire.
As some have suggested...I would research and talk w people...then come up w a plan for your car. Don't just add parts...have a plan and work toward a goal. That's why I said lower it on stock bolts and window tint...more visual and cheap to do. Also...catback, tires, ...etc.
First thing I did when graduating with my mechanical engineering degree was run to the Chev. dealer to buy a vette. But. . .I chickened out, being the practical engineer, I ordered a new Camaro instead. Tried to trade it for a 73 vette a year later, but didn't work out. Took 35yr before I finally got my vette. Good for you to get yours first thing.
