Default quick question

I am getting ready to install my c6z shocks and was wondering if I should lower my c5z while I am in each wheel well area ..or should I wait till after the car has settled from the shocks then lower it? Thanks

I think if you plan on lowering it do it now because you will have good access to do so, The best starting point is to turn the same number of threads on each corner, I lowered mine all the way on stock bolts and like it, Any lower would be an issue for me.

If I went back to do it again I wouldn't lower mine again. The po of my car put aftermarket bolts on tho. If they were stock i bet it wouldnt be anywhere near as bad. Just make sure u keep some shock travel. As soon as my new bolts are in mines going back up

There is a driving curve to learn when lowered, But they look and handle so much better in my opinion.

That is true, But not a big challenge, That is where the learning curve comes into place.

My C5 coupe rides about .3-.4" higher with the C6Z shocks than it did on the stockers. They've been on six months and haven't settled noticeably. Others have mentioned that they've experienced the same thing. If you like where your wheels are in your wheel wells, you might want to lower the car a bit to compensate.

Mine is lowered on after market bolts , I don't seem to have any problems if anything it handles better than it did before
Now once it was lowered I did take it back to have the rear raised back up a 1/2 inch

use scales or at a minimum measure frame points when you lower the car. typically you setup any car about 1/16th higher on the drivers side to split the difference on driver weight

also make sure you get the car realigned after changing ride height

well the deed is done..installed the c6 Z06 shocks...used the zip tie method for installing the fronts. worked like a charm..the rear however I ended up using a ratchet strap which allow for easy removal and install of the rear shock.rear took me 15 mins a side...I did not lower at this time as I want to see if the car will settle any more if at all, then I will proceed to lower it..thanks for all the lightening quick response's I love this fourm!
