Coloring in "Corvette"
What does everyone use to color in the words Corvette on the dash and rear bumper cover? I want to do yellow on the dash and maybe black on the rear bumper. Would appreciate any pics of what you have done too.

A lot of people buy the stickers. That's what I did, personally I didn't like them. I'm in on this thread if someone painted them with good results.

I have the Cyberdine 3D letters on my passenger air bag and rear fascia, but here's several files that talks about painting the rear fascia letters.

I've wondered about taping them off and using an airbrush to layer colors in or something.....
Mostly wondered how long it would take to tape 'em!!

There is NO way I would attempt that myself. To me it would be worth paying a professional shop to do that before I risk screwing up my paint job!

Lol!
I'm going to give that rear letter painting DIY a try this weekend. We'll see how it comes out. Thanks for the files Jack.

I used a letter kit for the dash. Dropped the middle part of the first "E" into the airbag area. Used the silver paint pen that I am going to use for the gauge rings to color it in. You cannot even tell. I don't know what's up with the letters not looking right in pictures, but they are very even and straight in person. Must be something in the reflection.
I may tape off and plastidip the letters in the bumpers. Worth a try for a little time and a few bucks.

For the rear bumper I bought a set of stickers on ebay; $10. Windex on the bumper, apply sticker while wet, squeeze out excess liquid, let dry, end result looks great.
I had airbag stickers from a vendor on my old C5 and they fell off almost immediately. Wasn't the best purchase I ever made.

That's why I have the 3D letters on mine - I'm just passing on info from other owners that did the letters that way.

I saw another method for painting them. This is the one I was thinking of trying.
Mine were painted on my '94 and I liked it. Never had to worry about anything coming off and they looked good.

Good Luck.
