Why did you only drive it 1k miles?
Will the C5Z only see 1k miles as well?
Not sure i understand your logic.
I will probably go C7 once they hit the resale market assuming I like the car.
Not to dwell too much on the financial only to say. I wasn't driving a depreciating asset which IMO will take a pretty good hit when the C7 hits the market and the C5 has most likely bottomed so this was the best time to sell.
I really liked the Badass look of the C6Z but has soon as GM flooded the market with the GS the look was no longer unique.
I occasionally drove my Kid's C5Z and every time I said "wow this is a really fun car to drive".
Compared to the C6z you feel much more connected with a feel for the road in the C5z.
Congrats. That Z is really sharp. You're right about the C6Z. Nice car but too refined. Not as raw as the C5Z and not as unique. Never understood the rationale of making the GS look like the Z. Some will say that it was about sales but I've always thought there was another way of handling that decision, maybe slight redesign of the front fascia, small rear lip spoiler on the hatch for instance. And the C5Zs values probably are as good as they get right now. Also stories about the C6Z motors having issues, so you could have very well ducked a bullet in that regard as well. If your Z is stock with only headers, you've still got a monster on your hands! Enjoy!!!

I never worried about the LS7. In fact I have one in my 69 Camaro Protour Car (forged with TSP cam)

Not sure I could have made that swap, but hey, that C5Z you bought looks great. I'd say you'll be very happy with it and hopefully you'll drive it more than you did the C6Z.
