I've driven my 155k mile 2001 convert 10,000 miles since I bought it. Had to spend $34 for a rear exhaust hanger last week. My first repair. That thing is eating me alive financially. Time to sell I guess.
BWAHAHAHAHA
I've replaced my water pump and my EBCM just went out... What a pile of shiiiit!
"I too enjoyed reading your post and comments that you brought to the table. An I also admired your vette. Hoping to see your name pop up with a pic
of your new vette once it happens. I can say that because it isn't over for me neither. Sold my vette a couple of weeks ago as well (kind-a, sort-a miss
it if you know what I mean) and bought the Jag below. I also needed something practical to meet my daily needs. Even though I'm vette-less right now,
I still like visiting the forum here and keeping up on all the latest!" "Enjoy your new ride Qwik01!"
Thanks guys. As to spending thousands a month. I said I am tired of spending thousands and something goes wrong ever month. Not thousands a month. But the car has always been an issue since I bought it. Not saying corvette is a bad car. I must of bought a bad one.I really will miss the vette. This new car doesn't outperform the vette. But the 6 is a pretty fun car to drive. I do enjoy driving it as a daily over the vette. I am 25. I don't make tons of money. So I just had to cut my losses and move onto something I think is nice and is now paid off. Not to mention the insurance is half the price of the vette.
My plan was to start college here soon. Can't get much running on a high school diploma. Eliminating car payments was my goal here.
Thanks again everyone for all the help the past 2 years! Hopefully someday when I get myself straight you will see me on here with a new C7.

Sorry to hear that you sold the Vette, but I knew you were thinking about it for a long, long time. Nice looking Mazda and hope it gives you a lot of driving pleasure.

If you owned a vette at 25... you were doing pretty good. I had to wait until my early 40's to get into one of these cars. I commend your wise financial decision and wish you luck in college. I do hope to see you back here in that C7
Speed6's are pretty badass cars. I'd say you came up. Interior blows the C5's away, quality is much nicer and refined, They are also pretty quick from what i remember. AWD Turbo> RWD anyday.
How much did you pay for it? Around here, Speed6's cost way more than c5s. You where able to pay off the vette loan and buy this with the leftovers??? Nice.

Yep, I was able to pay off the loan on the vette and pay cash for this speed6. The interior is way nicer than the corvette's. I had corbeaus in the vette and these stock seats in the speed6 feel great as well. Also the bose system in this speed6 blows away the c5's system.
Yes the car is pretty quick but the gears in the 6 are way shorter than the corvette. With the mods that are ont he car if I put on an accessport and a stage 1+ tune it will really wake the car up. Will give it another 60hp easy.
Most of you guys are so corvette pointed not even funny!!! Leave the guy alone he had to sell the car to buy ALL YEAR around car. At least he got him self a FUN all year around car that runs high 13sec stock and low 13sec with few mods plus on top of that it has class A+ handling. I love corvettes my self and the corvette is one of the best cars money can buy but there are other cars out there that are lots of fun to drive.
congrats i might be selling my z06 next year this time for the same reason and looking into 2010 CTS-V 6 speed
