I've owned most all of 'em. Dollar for dollar (especially resale) the ponies are in another class. Compare m most any Poontang (not a Shelby) with any Vette, guess who wins?
You are right about most pony cars. As far as resale value, the Boss 302 will hold its value more so than a regular pony car. On a road course and the 1/4 mile a Boss 302 compared to a stock LS1 C5...with equal drivers a Boss 302 wins! A stock C5 Z06 will give it a good run. But, again, it's just a toy for me and I'm not looking to make any money off of resale...just plain enjoyment!!!

All joking aside, any day around cars is a great day for me. I don't care if you drive a Chevy, Ford, Mopar, Nissan, Subaru, etc., as long as we share the same passion.
As much as I love my supercharged '01 'vert as a long term and customized daily driver, I'm often quite jealous of many of my friends who go through a wide variety of cars over the years. You get a better taste of what's out there... granted, those same friends are also jealous of my car and the fact I've stuck with one ride for so long.
I don't understand all this 1 of xxx, 1 of xxx....it'll depreciate like anything else. In 50 years, that 1 of xxx MIGHT matter, depending on how history looks back on that gen of Mustang...
You know how many 70's mustang buyers had 1 of xxx and were counting their profits?
I thought so too, considering I paid $18k for it two years ago and that the C7 is soon to be all the rage. It was just too hard to pass up. Mershon's listed it for $24.9k and they only had it for three weeks!
it's strange but prices at manheim and ebay have crept up on c5's since the c7 release.
not sure what to make of it but prices now really are higher than 2 years ago
Good Job on your sale! Those Boss Mustangs are pretty potent on the road courses....could not shake one on my tail with my bone stock Z06.
Good to see that you try different vehicles, your Boss looks really cool.
Sooner or later we all fall back to what we are comfortable with.

Love the Mustang. IMO, you traded the wrong 'Vette in on the Mustang. All 75's are ugly, and that color, well...... I love FRCs, and that blue has got to be pretty rare, especially one that nice. Good price in today's market, though.
Wow you got that much? Awesome. That 302 slaps a base c5 around some of these guys have no clue. I see more vettes on the road than Boss's. That Boss is very capable off the showroom floor. You made a great choice. I hope to own a 13GT500 one of these days.
